Melbourne Fishing Charters Overview

Melbourne offers a great variety of fantasic fishing charter experiences. All levels are catered for, including first timers learning to fish in Port Phillip Bay to hardcore experts targeting big tuna in Bass Straight.

There are a good variety of trips and target species. Snapper charters run all year but the Snapper season peaks October to February. Other year-round species include King George Whiting and various shark species. Kingfish charters operate January through April. It's all about finding the right Melbourne Fishing Charter to suit your preferences.

16 fishing charters operate in the Melbourne area. The main departure points are St Kilda, Carrum, Hasting and Mornington. Half, three-quarter and full day fishing charters trips are available for individuals, families and groups. I’m Hooked Fishing Charters is run by Mal, a qualified charter operator who began fishing at a very young age with his Grandpa. Mal would fish at Carrum while his Grandpa collected boat launching fees. His dad would also take him to local creeks to catch bream and mullet.
